In 2008, the planners of Going Barefoot (a biennial conference for Christian and non-profit communicators) asked Leslie Harrison to deliver this presentation on the strategy and results of the United Church of Canada’s Emerging Spirit campaign – a public information campaign designed to raise awareness of the United Church and invite people to visit a congregation.

Going Barefoot II was sponsored by Canadian Mennonite University; Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) Canada; Mennonite Church Canada; Mennonite Church Manitoba; InterChurch Communications; and the Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches, and presented at the Going Barefoot II Conference at Canadian Mennonite University on May 15, 2009.
