MennoQmunity Blog: An online community for sharing the stories of LGBTQ and Allies within Mennonite communites
One of the significant tenets of the Anabaptist/Mennonite faith is that of community. Community is that gathering of people wherein one feels that deep sense of connection and belonging, like a body held together with tissue, ligaments, muscle, organs and fluids all working together for health and well being. The apostle Paul said that when one part of the body suffers, or conversely is honoured, then it impacts the whole body. My hope is that this blog can give expression to a part of the Anabaptist/Mennonite community that has suffered, the LGBT or Queer members of that body.
This is a place to share stories and reflections of being Anabaptist/Mennonite and Queer, as experienced within the embodied experience of our communities. Hopefully this virtual community, mennoQmunity, can help to facilitate deeper listening and appreciation for the full body of Christ.
